Transgenics­, essentially stimulating genetic attributes to increase overall health in plants and organisms, can be a contraversial topic. Although cross-breeding has been shown to have positive results, genetically modified plants and organisms takes it a step further and may prove the only way to adapt to the changing world we live in. Technology has accelerated at a such a rate that it's possible that human evolution may be left behind without proper care. This form of manipulation of basic gene characteristics and it's inherent value may never be answered due to the current lack of sufficient scientific evidence, but it is an interesting approach to an ever growing issue.
