snazm questions:
What's the biggest issue with tech today?
Is it too many cables, to many remotes? Is it all just too much to learn too fast? Is it multiple formats, PC convergence, obsolescence and the need for an all-in-one solution? Is it better to just sit back and wait?

I'm waiting for products sold to go mainstream. At that point, companies will have figured out how to package the technology and make it easy for everyone to use. Not to mention the fact that we'll all be at least familiar with the technology available at that point.

Let's face it, technology is complex. We owe it to ourselves to have a basic knowledge and to educate ourselves on what products and technologies work best for us. We can't expect companies to come out with a perfect solution right from the start.

Aos thinks: It pays to wait for technology to work itself out. I often wait up to a year for the latest tehnology since, in most cases, the first version of most product still has some bugs to work out. As times, goes on , it's inevitable that technology will become easier to use. We are just at the beginnings of what will surely be a technological revolution.
clione thinks: As much as I'd love to own the latest products as soon as they are releases, it has becoming increasing difficult to rely on new technology to be free of issues, especially any computerized technology. I like waiting a year to get it. At that point, all the kinks have been worked out and it can be found for a much cheaper price.
wicherbos thinks: Is it too many cables, to many remotes? YES!!!

Ever tried to connect a couple of items like digital TV receiver, TV, home cinema? You need to be a specialst, and at least end-up with 3 remote controls if you ever get it working.

So wait till set makers start producing what we want, in stead of what they invent

clo thinks: I enjoy innovation, but having said that, I know the issues that come with being an early adopter. I've had my share of buggy products. I find it interesting to see how products have evolved over the years to overcome this initial obstacle. More and more products are software-based and can have easy, automatic updates. Some day everything will have an internet connection, providing easy access to tools to solve any issues.
MichaelHodgson thinks: All of these are true, but are only symptoms of the greater problem, which that earth technology too often does not work, or is incompatible with something, etc. This is the challange for resolution. My Windows Live Space, "http://livinginfosoftware.spaces.live.com/" will have a solution for this soon.
