Alarm clock hell
Gem thinks: I can't think of a time when I said to myself "I wish I had a sophisticated alarm clock with a multitude of features". The truth is, when we go to the store and buy an alarm clock, we pick one with a few features that is reasonably priced. Very little thought is given to this purchase even if it is a product we use on a daily basis.

Can money buy happiness? Are people who earn 2 dollars a day sad?
Gem thinks: I have to admit that I was much happier when I was in university and completely broke. :)

Simplicity is not about communication alone
Gem thinks: Today's technology products are not as simple as they could be. Much is said talked about simplicity, but very little is put into practice. Companies shouldn't have to advertise simplicity, it should should be evident everyday in their products. Companies should not just strive for simplicity, but actually deliver on it in the final product.
